A pair of V.35 Fiber Modems provides n*64K(n=1-32) V.35 network "extension" between remote and locations .The BD-OP-V35 is designed to transmit/receive V.35 data over one string of fiber. The FMO-V35 allows transmission over Single-mode fiber with distances up to 120km. LED status indicators monitor the fiber and V.35 links. The Model BD-OP-V.35 is available with either an AC or DC power supply and is supported by a wide range of applications and power supply environments.

It supports asynchronous RS485 communications through point-to-point fiber optic links. The device operates in pairs (point-to-point) over a light-speed fiber backbone that is naturally resistant to electrical and radio interference, including lightning, ground loops, EMI/RFI, and transient surges.

This model is able to send and receive RS485 data signals, eliminating the need for software drivers and making the device completely plug and play. It involved a terminal block connector for the RS485 serial port, and either an SC type connector for the fiber interface. The model extends the maximum distance of RS-485 signal up 20KM using multi-mode fiber optic cable.
